Mahalo! Local Kine Authentic Island food with flair in San Antonio! The vibe, the people, and the food reminded me of my Aunties house in Oahu! The food was on point and the outdoor patio was perfect for the weather. Spam Musibi + local fried rice with Hawaiian chicken Mochi for dessert Do yourself a favor - you won’t be disappointed
The sign said “Best burgers in town” so I had to stop by. GLORIA is the best! My food took a little longer than expected, but Gloria gave me a milkshake to smooth things over. THAT is fantastic customer service. The atmosphere also feels like you’re literally transported to Hawaii the moment you enter the restaurant. Fantastic all around.
First and foremost, the woman at the counter (I didn’t catch her name) has such great customer service! Very friendly and helpful Cute little spot with very yummy food! I got the 2 meat plate with kalua pig, teriyaki chicken with white rice and mac salad. It was all delicious! Especially the mac salad! My husband got the Hawaiian friend chicken and that was also very delicious! We also got pastries that were lovely. Definitely coming back more often!
My partner and I have been seeing this place but never stopped in…. boy are we glad we were able to visit today! The service was impeccable and the waitress was the only one serving/taking orders/running plates, but she still made us feel like we were the VIPs. I had the 1 meat plate with Kalua Pork with rice and their mac. the pork was so tender and juicy and the taste was insane. My partner had the 2 meat plate with Hawaiian Fried Chicken and Garlic shrimp with Rice and Mac and he said the shrimp and their chicken were not over cooked either and had a very nice taste. At the end ofour meal our waitress had freshly baked macadamia nut brownies with a scoop of ice cream and it was the PERFECT way to end the meal. We will 10000000% be back. Thank you so much for the great food and hospitality
Contrary to some reviews here, I must say customer service was not optimal. While staff were attentive, they appeared rather uninterested in providing additional help regarding recommendations or assisting new customers. Otherwise, the food was good. You may find a more traditional Hawaiian BBQ experience at other locations in SATX. But this is definitely worth the try!
This place had some amazing food. When you walk in you feel welcomed. It’s a hole in a wall restaurant but you get Samoan vibes. We ordered two plates for myself and my boyfriend. I had 2 meat plate with Hawaiian Fried chicken and Garlic Shrimp. Sides that came with the plate Mac salad and white rice has seaweed sesame seeds garish on top. Underneath your meats has bed of spam fried rice. The portions they serve in the plate are good amounts. The garlic shrimp they were huge and so delicious. Hawaiian fried chicken was delicious and crispy. My boyfriend got 2 meat plate Beef teriyaki and Garlic Shrimp. Sides came with the plate is Mac salad and white rice has seaweed sesame seeds garish on top. Underneath your meats comes with bed of fried rice. The beef teriyaki was tender and so delicious and the Mac salad was very creamy. I forgot to ask what sauce it came with our plates. It was so good dipping my fried chicken or mixing it with rice. Overall we had a great experience. Staff was very friendly and humble. Carla asked how was our experience there and we talked to the point we got a job offer lol. We mostly definitely come back again to try the Loco Moco. Plus they have burger joint Unko Maui’s by Fredericksburg and zarzamora. That we have plans to try them out. P.s we are considering the job offer lol
Amazing food, atmosphere and service!!! I highly recommend the garlic shrimp rice bowl, the mac salad (so creamy), and the new collard greens in a lovely coconut sauce (makes veggies good). We also had chocolate, strawberry and ube shakes!!! Friendly kind people and great music! Please support this local business!!!
SO glad we stopped. When the owners care, it matters. You can feel the aloha they have and they made sure we had more food than we could eat in one setting. Not the cheapest meal but you get a generous plate lunch and they don't skimp out one bit. Delicious food and the owner even gave us some sausage he had just made which was ono as well. My family had a great experience and left full and smiling. We will be back for sure!
